Good evening!! And what a skanky evening it is too, cold and wet and windy 😦 Shame it doesn’t look like it did this morning still….
…Isn’t that creepy looking!? Anyway!
I’m so annoyed with myself – I spent ages sorting out my post earlier/last night so it was all ready to go and post; all I needed to do was click ‘publish’ between my lectures and TAH-DAH! My post would be done.
But no, that’s apparently too complicated for my poor little brain to handle. I went on the computer, I went on my WordPress account, I read a few blogs, I read a few emails, and I went to my lecture. First minute of my lecture, I remember that I didn’t actually PUBLISH the darn thing!! Gosh darn it. So that’s my excuse for the late post today :p
Well, my demon day FLEW by (or not, that was a lie), so I was rather relieved to get home and go for a short run!! I WASN’T relieved to see lovely dark clouds forming, or the fact that I walked home in the result of them bursting…but still, a run is a run!
5.4km in 28minutes
- Mile 1 – 8.26
- Mile 2 – 8.25
- Mile 3 – 8.15
- 570m – 2.55
It actually went pretty quick so that was groovy 🙂
Before I went, I snacked on these – Bear Granola Nibbles.
Love them! 3.9g protein and 4.2g fibre per 30g bag, as well as being all wholegrain and healthy – Ingredients list:
- whole grain oats
- whole grain maize
- baked apple pieces
- apple, grape and carob extract
They were zeh perFEK pre-run snack 🙂
Post-run, I ‘created’ a wonderful dish!! I’m SO using this as an oatmeal topping…
1/2 cup blueberries, a tiiiiny splash of milk, about a tsp agave, all microwaved til proper mushy and hot (like, 1-1.20mins on high), then topped with 1/3rd cup Puffed Wheat (except my Puffed Wheat is mixed with a bit of All-Bran – I just tipped two boxes into one plastic tub :p) and a sprinkle of white and dark chocolate chips:
OH MY GOSH!! How amazing was that!!??
Killed my appetite for dins, but hey, it was worth it!
It would be sooo good on oatmeal…talk about delicious! 😀
Dins was pretty cool too: I had these tofu burger grill things (a new Waitrose discovery):
So I threw them in the oven, along with squash, parsnip and garlic, with cumin, cinnamon and pepper seasoning..I actually can’t wait to finish this butternut, cos I want to start on the kabocha that has been patiently sitting waiting in my car!!
For a bit of extra protein and some carby goodness, I got a 1/4cup (40g) red lentils, which I mixed with a blob of tomato puree, cumin and paprika, as well as half a low-salt stock cube.
Boiled it up, added it to everything else, and I had a plate of din-dins!
Looks dull, but it was actually really tasty 😀
After dinner, I really wanted to watch one of these two films I bought on Tuesday (£3 each!! I couldn’t resist :p) – Baby Mama, and Because I Said So. Has anyone seen them? I love Tina Fey in 30 Rock, hence why I got the first one, and I’d seen a trailor for the second one a while back and really wanted to watch it 🙂 They’ll probably be terrible, seeing as they were so cheap…but a rom-com is a rom-com, and I liebe them muchly, so there!!
Yeah, so I didn’t watch either – I did LAB REPORT instead, hurrah. It really, really isn’t fun. Hence why my nightly treat of 2% greek and 2 squares of chocolate was very welcome 🙂 (Especially since I even missed the NEW SEASON OF MASTERCHEF!!)
Other than that, an uneventful evening! Which is why I will say goodnight, fellow foodies, as I have another early start tomorrow and I very very badly need some beauty sleep….:s
Oh, and again just quickly – any readers or bloggers want to come to the blogger meet up at The Vitality Show in March? At the moment there is only three of us, which isn’t very many…we’d like more or it might not be able to go ahead! So if you’re in the south of England (or anywhere in the world – seriously, the more the merrier!), drop me an email (see the About Me pages for my address) and I’ll add you to the list 😀
