Yay, that’s right! I’m mega excited, as tomorrow is my…
first ever competitive half marathon!!
I obviously won’t be able to sleep tonight, I’ll be too hyper 😛 The whole thing starts at 10.30 am, so I need to leave at 8.30am…the whole timing thing in itself is raaather annoying for me. I’m used to running as soon as I get up, and running on only a very light amount of food. So it’s going to be weird for me running a good 3hrs after I’ve woken! Normally, before a long double digit run, I have a piece of toast and a banana….I’ve decided tomorrow, I’ll have a piece of toast before I go, and another an hour or so before the start of the race (except it won’t be two pieces of toast, it’ll be a PB and banana sandwich :)). I have to be careful I don’t eat too much yee see – before my 10k (which was held around the same kinda time of day), I ate a full breakfast, then a snack pre-run too – my stomach didn’t like it and I felt sick for 5of the 6miles!! Never again….
I’m just gutted that I’ll miss out on a nice big bowl o’ oats!! Ah well…
Anyways, so the afternoon’s food – I snacked on a hot chocolate and a Pecan Pie flavour Nakd bar:
Dates, pecans, almonds. Simple! This flavour was really sweet; you could definetly taste the dates. I love dates, but I don’t think this flavour is my favourite – Cashew Cookie still holds a special place in my heart!
Talking of special places in my heart, I got to start on my trusty old favourite tonight, that’s been hanging around in my mobile fridge (aka the car) for ages:
Kabocha squash! My ultimate favourite type of squash – I was so happy to have some of this again 🙂
I actually had one of my best dinners – goat’s cheese and caremalized onion stuffed pasta!! YAY! I had an excuse to have this meal yet again though – I’m carb loading 😛
So, dinner was simply – stuffed pasta, chicken, squash, parsnip, cinnamon, shallots, balsamic vinegar:
It seriously does not come better than that my friends!
If I were on death row, this would be my last meal, without a doubt. That’s how much I love it…
After dinner (and more psychology reading, get me!!), I had a hot chocolate, a bit under a pot of yogurt (I’d used some in my green monster the other day), and 3 Guylian chocolates:
I’ve raved about it before, and I’ll rave about it again (mainly in the hope someone connected to Guylian might read this, see my amazing promotional skills, and send me a lifetime’s supply…we can all have dreams.); Guylian do the best chocolate! BUY SOME!
Completely changing topic now – I was reading katheats and livelaugheat earlier, and they both had blogger meet ups today/yesterday. Which makes me insanely jealous! I don’t think in England there is a very good blogging community (or maybe because I’m so new to it, I haven’t discovered it yet?) – sooo,,
are there any English bloggers out there in the South East/East kinda area? It’d be so awesome to meet some! Or at least talk to some 🙂
I think I better try and get an early night….wish me luck tomorrow….. 😀
