It’s my last day at home today before I move back to uni (until next weekend at least :p)! I don’t want to go back..I’m such a home-centred girl, I just love it here! My house is warm and cosy and spacious, whereas at my uni house, it’s much smaller and cramped, and we can never work the heating – so it’s either FREEZING or boiling!! Plus, I have my mum at home, and she’s like a best friend to me, and of course…Chika! Here she is eating her breakfast this morning:
She’s so grubby and fluffy and cute, you can’t help but love her! Don’t you just adore animals, especially ones which are purely yours?
I actually managed to RIDE today TOO, at last! I haven’t ridden in about two weeks cos of all the snow (which was such a waste of the holidays :() but today, the sun decided to show it’s pretty lil face, and I had a nice 1/2hr schooling session! She was actually really well behaved and energetic, considering in her time off she’s lost fitness and so on. I didn’t really want to get off 😛
This morning, I grabbed an apple before I went with my mum on her weekly 2.4mile walk/run – we took 28mins and it was a good chance to have a little gossip :p but I forgot my hat today, and my ears were sooo cold and painful when we got back! I really looked forward to my nice bowl of oats, made with the usual banana, soya milk, cinnamon etc etc, topped with Fru-Grains and caramel chunks
I also had a tsp of granola, tbsp of wheatgerm, glass of banana milk and a tiny fig on the side 😛
Then we rode, bought more milk, looked at cat’s rescue shelters….Yes, Obama, despite having appeared to have moved in and adopted us, has now not been sighted for 2days!! So she appears to have moved on 😦 We are giving her til the end of the week to turn up again, and if there’s nothing, on saturday we’ll be getting new cats! We need cats – for cuddling and for catching all the crappy rats and mice that try and eat our horse feed! Plus, they’re just too cute to look at (the cats, not the rats…).
Lunch was quick and simple: I roasted up half an orange pepper, with cherry tomatoes, broccoli and chickpeas, with lots of pepper and garam masala:
I also stir fried some mushrooms with soy sauce:
and warmed through some sardines. Voila! A lovely delicious lunch:
The chickpeas were nice and chewy, soo good!
The peppers and tomatoes were so sweet too, but with a great spicy kick from the garam masala. On the side, I finished off the last remaining leaves from a bag of salad:
I may or may not have treated myself to a glass of diet pepsi too….:P
Well..now I have to go and pack 😦 I just hope I can find all my folders, books and work!! I seem to have spread all my stuff out somewhat since being home over Christmas 😛 Wish me luck!
