Yep, cram them in, all the veggies I can fit on my plate. I like a nice full plate 🙂 But before we get down to the dirty business of dinner…
I was busy today, baking away for my Mum’s work (seriously, why am I not paid for this job!? I bake aaall the time for them, I’m surprised her work isn’t all obese by now :P) – plus I couldn’t really do much else…too much snow…I did see a cute picture today though, a snowman with a sign round it’s neck saying ‘I’ll be dead soon’. HAHA! I think that’s so cute, but so sad!! Whoever thought that up was a genius IMHO.
Um annyways. CAKES!
chocolate fudge cupcakes:
On a completly random topic while I think of it, I was reading my brand spanking new running magzine last night, and it made me SO inspired! It was such a good magazine, so many good tips and recipes and stories. There was one really sad story though about a woman who was running a marathon in memory of her mother – her mother was out training with her (for a different marathon) and was knocked down and killed by a car 😦 how sad is that! But on a positive note, the magazine had a great 16 week marathon training programme (I’m already on week 10 apparently :p), so now I’m itching to do a full marathon – despite not having done a half yet! But I’ve decided in my gap year, I’m definetly going to run one – preferably in the USA, so I get an excuse to go over there 😛
Snack time included this:
Caramel flavour soya yogurt..sooo good! I also had a fresh date, because..they taste good. 😀 If only there was a real date (with a human) on the menu too..alas.
Dinner was compeltly boring today – I’d used up my favourite veggie combos at lunchtime (:O parsnip and squash!) so I lost all my inspiration to create anything even remotely interesting..roll on a lemon salmon fishcake, with roasted sprouts (2 small ones to be precise), broccoli and parsnip (with garam marsala and garlic, heh), and carrots, and soya mince!
They look so very unappealing don’t they? It was actually really good though – a bit processed but meh, can’t be good every day!
My evening snack was my ultimate favourite snack combo: 2% greek yogurt, 2 pieces Lindt dark chocolate, and a hot chocolate! It’s hard to make it look interesting or different to every other night I’ve had it..but I tried!
I can’t wait to go to bed now, 1) I have the new issue of Glamour as bedtime reading, and 2) I can’t wait to wake up! I’ve got three things to look forward to tomorrow; Gillian Michael’s making me do a bit of shredding, a haircut (maybe involving a new fringe…), and a Tesco shop! I LOVE supermarket shopping, so this is very exciting :p
