Oooh I haven’t felt very well for the rest of today 😦 so my eats are EXTREMELY dull.
It’s a deathtrap! Though by far not at it’s worst..before Christmas was terrible. I no longer love snow.
I also thought I’d share with everyone a slightly better picture taken not far from my front door 😛
Aren’t her spots cute!?
Cute ponies make the world turn round 🙂 especially when they’re wrapped in big thick rugs and look pleased to see you!
When I came back in, I snacked on a wonderful delicious Nakd bar,
mmmm – oaty, raw, fruity goodness 😀 and quite small too – it was the perfect dense snack for me when I wasn’t feeling hungry and had stomach ache 😦 And I know I must’ve been feeling bad – I didn’t have my afternoon hot chocolate!! In fact, I really didn’t want much of anything, so I did something I haven’t done in a long time, and had cereal for dinner! I didn’t snap a picture, as it was basically a complete replay of this mornin’. For added protein though, I had some delicious greek yogurt on the side:
I’ve now tried the 0%, 2% and full fat versions of greek yogurt, and I can confidently say 2% is my favourite – the full fat one tastes like clotted cream! (I’m a cream HATER – WITH A PASSION!!)
I still feel rotten though 😦 I’ve spent the evening curled up with Cosmo watching ‘My Big Fat Diet Show’ on channel 4. Maybe it’s time for another quick rant!? They’re suggesting a 1200 calorie diet to drop a dress size in 2 weeks..and yes yes very well, but they say you only have to stick to it for 2 weeks too…I have 2 problems with this:
1200 is not very many calories at all (at least in my book)! I’d reach some kind of plateau vverrryy quickly on that…plus, again IMHO, it’s not a very realistically sustainable amount.
They do the diet for 2 weeks. They’ll probably drop a dress size. Then what? They go back to their old habits, cos all the focus was on cutting cals, not on educating for healthy choices, and they’ll put the weight back on!
Gosh crash diets make me mad!! Plus they’re ALL over the magazines at the moment after the festive season. Did you know, apparently, we consume 7000 calories on Christmas day!? No wonder people want quick fixes :s
I think though, if people eat right 80% of the time, there is nothing wrong with a bit of indulgence (obviously not completely overboard indulgence :P). Besides, it can always be balanced with a bit more exercise! Gah.
Anyway, brief rant over 🙂 I feel a bit better for that!! That topic is just one that really revs me up! Do any of you have topics that make you come over all opinionated!?
I’m going to go and attempt a bit of work now…maybe…:P Hopefully I’ll be feeling better tomorrow! I have a ton of leftover egg whites that need eating…
